Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Course

Since 2015, Prairie Centre for Mindfulness has helped hundreds of people awaken to their lives. We are pleased to announce a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course this fall in Carlyle in partnership with Lotus Tree Wellness and Healing.
Classes fill up very quickly so if you're interested in registering, doing so sooner than later is recommended! We look forward to walking together on the path of mindfulness.
Thursday October 19, 2017 to Thursday December 7, 2017.
Evening classes will start at 6:30 p.m. Please note that the first and last classes will be 3 hours in length; all other classes will be 2½ hours in length.
The all-day retreat will take place on Saturday November 25th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This retreat is for class participants as well as for people who have previously completed the MBSR course.

We are delighted to once again teach MBSR at Lotus Tree Wellness and Healing in Carlyle. The spacious studio is both beautiful and peaceful ... an ideal space for learning and cultivating mindfulness practices.
All classes will take place at Lotus Tree - 118 Main Street, Carlyle, SK
The all-day retreat will take place at the Mother Teresa Centre in Kenosee, SK (Located at the Kenosee Boys and Girls Camp)
Anyone interested in participating in the eight week course is required to attend one of two mandatory orientation sessions. The complimentary sessions will be held at Lotus Tree Wellness and Healing on Thursday September 14, 2017 (6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.) and Saturday September 30, 2017 (1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.)

$750.00* per person. Payment can be made by cheque, e-transfer, credit card or cash.
Registration deadline is Tuesday, October 10, 2017.
* Please note that some employee wellness plans and private health insurers may reimburse for cost of the course with a referral from a physician.
* If cost is a barrier to registering, a reduced fee or payment plan may be arranged
* Cost helps to off-set teacher's travel and overnight accommodations.
About the Facilitator:
Joanne Frederick, M.A., is the Founder of the Prairie Centre for Mindfulness and a Registered Psychologist in private practice in Regina. She is authorized to teach Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) through the University of Massachusetts Medical School - Centre for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care and Society. Her passion to teach MBSR was ignited in 2003 when she faced a life threatening illness. Being of service to people who share a desire to awaken to life, rather than operating on auto-pilot, continues to guide her work in the community.
