Begin where you are is phrase I often say to myself when feeling unsure as to how to move forward. In truth, we can never begin anywhere but here and now. Uncertainty about whether one is fully prepared can be paralyzing … especially if one seeks perfection. So, instead, I began with an intention to simply create a space for people to cultivate a mindfulness practice. Prairie Centre for Mindfulness is that space.
During the next few weeks, I will be writing a four part series about the vision for the PCFM. The series is intended to serve as an invitation for individuals, organizations, schools and businesses to learn more about the exciting courses, workshops and training sessions offered through PCFM. It is also intended to serve as an invitation for professionals in the community and surrounding area to come together to share and discuss best practices regarding mindfulness-based interventions.
So, we begin where we are by setting an intention … extending invitations … and coming together under the universal umbrella of mindfulness. Please contact PCFM with questions, ideas or anything else that comes to mind.
